Aga Khan Scholarship for developing countries is under the sponsorship of His Highness the Aga Khan. He is the founder, and chairman of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
The AKDN works in over 30 countries around the world. Also, it employs approximately 80,000 people, the majority of whom are based in developing countries.
The AKDN Foundation gives priority to students applying to study masters program but also willing to assist those plying for a Ph.D. program. Only if the students have outstanding academic performance previously. And is also well recommended by their professors and who need a Ph.D. for the fulfillment of their career objectives.
It is also important that you know that short term courses are not considered for application. Neither are applications from students who have already started their course of study accepted.

Value of Scholarship

How to Apply
The application for the Aga Khan Scholarship is said to be decentralized as the application form can be obtained in any country eligible for the program.
Intending applicants are to go to the AKF offices or Aga Khan Education Services / Boards to obatain the form each year. This is usually done on or before January 1st every year.
